A COMPUTER FOR YOUR SCHOOL

Fundación Agreste and the Uruguayan American Foundation (UAF) work together for those who are most in need in both countries.  Both institutions signed an agreement to carry out joint projects in relation to health, education etc., and to collaborate with rural schools in the Republic of Argentina and the Republic of Uruguay.  From its base in Washington, the UAF has contributed by giving educational materials to rural state schools with limited resources and offering services, clothes and other items to civic organisations in Uruguay.

In the context of this agreement, in 2006 the ‘A computer for your school’ programme took place, in which computers were given to 50 schools in the San José province of Uruguay.
