The aim of ‘The Agreste Way’ is to offer tourists who come to
Argentina a new way of getting to know our culture. This is
through the creation of an interactive and multidisciplinary
space where they can find alternatives and combine:
eco/environmental, adventure, social, alternative and fair
tourism. This way they can get to know and enjoy the
impressive landscapes, different food and rich indigenous
culture, as well as the social and environmental realities
that our region is facing
It won’t be a hotel, although tourists will be able to stay
there and establish relationships not only with possible
companions but also with the local people. We propose to
construct a centre for the practice of healthy experiences
that combat the stress of everyday life from a different
perspective.
It will be a place where charitable
activities can take place. There will be a vegetable garden and
a farm where visitors can work and grow their own food, as well
as a recycling centre where they can learn different techniques
for making good use of waste. Different tourist excursions will
also take place, but will be environmentally friendly in their
approach.
The installation of an ecological-environmental museum and
library will complement these activities. Through this approach
we can get more and more people to commit to caring for the
environment and ensure that our work is replicated beyond our
own borders. At the same time, we hope to have the opportunity to
take forward the development of clean technologies,
biotechnology and nanotechnology. The aim would be to give
students of various science- and technology-related subjects a
quiet and accommodating place to set up and focus their studies
on developing technologies which allow advances in cleaner
technologies to be made.
