Travel has been changing for some years
now. Tourists are looking for new and exciting experiences
which give them direct contact, not only with the culture,
landscape and gastronomy of the country they are visiting,
but also with its inhabitants and social and environmental
reality.
“Estilo Agreste®” seeks to offer these
people an alternative and a place in which to combine
different kinds of tourism: eco/environmental, adventure,
social, alternative and fair tourism.
Located in the middle of the Andes, our
multipurpose complex will serve as a recreational and
educational centre for interdisciplinary and touristic
studies, where healthy, cultural and environmental
activities can take place.
It will not be a hotel, although
tourists will be able to stay there and establish
relationships, not only with possible companions but also
with the local people. We propose to construct a centre for
the practice of healthy experiences that combat the stress
of everyday life from a different perspective.
It will be a place where charitable
activities can take place. There will be a vegetable garden
and a farm where visitors can work and grow their own food,
as well as a recycling centre where they can learn different
techniques for making good use of waste. Different
touristic excursions will take place but will be
environmentally-friendly in their approach.
The installation of an
ecological-environmental museum and library will complement
these activities.
Through this approach we can get more and more people to
commit to caring for the environment, and ensure that our
work is replicated beyond our own borders.
